Sur moi

My patients call me Dr. Todd. I am a crazy old pharmacist in Sunny Scottsdale in Arizona in the USA. Pharmacy is actually a career change for me, but I've been a pharmacist for a long time now and take good care of my patients!

I enjoy trout fishing, blogging, photography, target shooting, electronics and gadgets of all kinds, goofing around with home automation, and trying to figure out how to grill the most delicious rib-eye steak ever known to man. I'm getting close.

My wife is also a pharmacist. She's an immigrant from Poland who is now a US citizen. She is a much smarter pharmacist than me but I don't tell her. She already knows it anyway.

We have three big giant beasts for dogs named Boss, Boomer, and Amber. I live in a sea of dog hair. A recent DNA test confirmed that they are actually dogs and not horses as I suspected. As big as they are, they're all afraid of my little Tuxedo cat. His name is Leonardo DiCattio (Leo for short).

Leo is an exceptionally good and loyal kitty but I've learned via a GPS collar (that I put on him on occasion) that he has quite the night life. It was utterly shocking to know he's been in everyone's backyards in the entire neighborhood. We had no idea.

I also have two adult boys presently determined to drain my bank account entirely. So far they're doing a pretty good job of it. When they were young we did a lot of fun things like going to Disneyland, San Diego, Utah, and Montana. At home we enjoyed board games, swimming, movies, video games, and Geocaching.

(Side note: No one every beats me at Monopoly. No one. I'm like a Monopoly savant or something. I can also do some crazy math in my head. It freaks people out.)

I was one of those kids (a long time ago) that ordered stuff from the back of comic books. I bought a pair of the X-Ray specs and Sea Monkeys among many other things. I was quite disappointed to find out that the X-Ray specs really didn't work. I was just as disappointed as when Ralphie found out his Little Orphan Annie decoder pin was just a scam.

But I continued to buy stuff from comic books because I really liked getting things in the mail. In my teen years I discovered that grandma's Visa card worked really well in placing orders for software games for my TRS-80 computer. She never knew.... she never knew.

Unfortunately, I never grew up and I still like getting things in the mail. As you can imagine, Amazon and eBay love me. Ironically, I used to sell a lot of stuff on eBay 20 years ago and now I work for Amazon. Ha! Now Amazon pays ME to buy stuff from THEM!

I like getting postcards of any kind. I really enjoy landscapes, rivers, and/or mountains. I very much enjoy magic and wish I had the dexterity to do the the amazing sleight of hand like expert magicians.

I also think anything with a trout on it is just plain cool. Muscle cars, antique cars, lighthouses, cute soft kitties, robots, anything pharmacy related (especially antique medicine bottles), and shamefully, I admit it... pin-up girls.
